Summary

NetSupport School Tutor Console displaying machines that are from another class or room that shouldn't be displayed.

More Information

Tutor console displaying machines from another class list or room that is not part of the selected class list or room.

Common scenarios:

Tutor selects Class X from the list, machines from Class X are displayed but the machines from Class Y also appear.

Tutor logs into Room X, machines from Room X are displayed but the machines from Room Y also appear.

The client.nss file saves the machine information of Class X/Room X and retains the informationn. When the Tutor logs into Class Y/Room Y, the machine information from this class is also added to the client.nss.

We now have a double up of machine information. This results in two different classes being displayed when one is selected.

This is a common issue when using Roaming Profiles.

Instructions

To prevent this from happening we need to clear the contents of the client.nss file and set it to Read-Only.

The client.nss file is located within:

Windows 7 machines: C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\NetSupport\NetSupport School

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User name]\Application Data\NetSupport\NetSupport School
